Services
North Star Learning provides career-focused courses and coaching for students in grades 9-12, college students, and young working professionals. We also offer professional learning for schools, community groups, and homeschool co-ops, along with select writing/editing services for individuals, schools, and businesses.
The high school years should expand student knowledge of career options, along with a deep dive understanding of the skills needed to find success in the world of work. At this age, learners can complete interest, skills, and values assessments that help point them to potential best fit careers. Learning how to engage in effective career research and to ask the RIGHT questions is key for high school students.
The college and introductory professional work years are all about gaining skills, experiences, and learning how to make effective detours. Sometimes we complete a trade school, college or university pathway, obtaining a certificate or degree, and still find ourselves lacking skills or partially unemployable.
Other times, we start the career of our dreams, only to realize it’s more “nightmare” than “nice.” Our 20s can be years of frustration and joy, of drive and defeat, and of confusion and insight. At North Star Learning, we are here to help you ensure you are on the right pathway and that you’re making good progress toward the career of your dreams. Plus, we can help you make vital pivots when you recognize your career no longer suits.

“Four to Soar” Career Coaching Package
- You Science Career Assessment (An Aptitude and Interest Assessment)
- Personalized 1-hour F2F or virtual coaching sessions (4-6 sessions)
- Lifetime access to a career exploration platform
- Strong research skills for exploring careers
- Completion of a career profile or college/career plan
Four to Soar Advanced Career Coaching Package
- The advanced package is similar to the introductory package, but with a more robust pace and planning strategy. This plan is better suited to the young person who already has a strong understanding of their best fit career, but needs assistance in figuring out how to get closer to expanding skills or landing work in this field.

Package Costs: Four to Soar Packages start at a rate of $250 or $350 (depending on duration and add-ons). $50.00 of each package covers the evidence-based career assessment from You Science. Concerned about cost? Ask us about options!
Dr. Lori offers half-day, whole-day, and multi-day professional learning workshops for educators/teachers/leaders and parents, focused on helping learners develop their career understanding and explore careers with purpose.
